Afghan Canadians meet Ontario candidates

Afghan Canadians in Ontario's Greater Toronto Area met municipal candidates at two gatherings focused on housing affordability, public transit, taxes and local services, Wesal TV reports through Frequency. Participants included Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish and council or mayoral candidates from Mississauga, Vaughan and Whitby. Organizers said the meetings aimed to encourage community participation in local government ahead of the October 26 municipal elections.
