Blue Jays respond after reports of Santander sharing anti-Muslim videos

The Toronto Blue Jays, based in Ontario, Canada, said individual comments do not represent the organization's values after reports that player Anthony Santander shared, then deleted, anti-Muslim videos on Instagram following the US midterm elections.

TSN reported November 5 that Santander had posted the videos to his Instagram Stories and later removed them. The report said Offside journalist Marley Dickinson approached the team for comment.

"Baseball is for everyone, and the Blue Jays have created an inclusive experience where all fans feel welcome at our ballpark," a team spokesperson said in the statement reported by TSN. "Individual comments do not represent our organization's values and beliefs."

Toronto outlet blogTO also reported the deleted posts and the team's statement to Offside. It said the videos drew criticism from fans.
