CAIR urges Keith Self to reject remarks about killing Muslim leaders
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and its Texas chapter called on Texas Representative Keith Self on November 2 to reject remarks by John Guandolo that the organization described as an apparent call to kill American Muslim leaders.
CAIR said the remarks occurred during an October 27 X Spaces conversation. According to the organization, Self spoke before Guandolo and appeared to remain on the program during and after his remarks without voicing opposition.
CAIR called on the FBI to investigate Guandolo over the alleged remarks and urged Self to disband the congressional caucus that it described as anti-Muslim and that he co-founded. CAIR research and advocacy director Corey Saylor said Self should publicly reject the idea of killing American Muslim leaders.
