El-Sayed says he is ready to work with Trump to end Canada tariffs
Michigan Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed said he was willing to work with President Donald Trump's administration to end the U.S. trade war with Canada during his Thursday interview on MS NOW's Morning Joe.
El-Sayed said that if Trump wanted to work on issues he also wanted to address, including “stopping these stupid tariffs with Canada,” they should discuss doing so and delivering for the public.
The Democrat made the remarks after winning Michigan's Senate race against Republican Mike Rogers. CP24 reported that Michigan's economy is closely integrated with Canada's, particularly in the automotive industry.
