The festival shows horror films from around the world made by, for or about Muslims, drawing on jinn, Islamic theology, folklore and local histories, director Dr. Aliyah Khan said. Programming highlights horror traditions from countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Türkiye, Egypt, Iran, Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, engaging themes such as gender, hijab, war, political violence, illness, grief and death. This year's edition features collaborations with the Arab American National Museum, Michigan Medicine and Devil's Night Detroit.
