Syrian TPS has ended. What it means for Arab communities
Temporary Protected Status for Syrians ended on July 27, 2026, according to USCIS. The Supreme Court allowed the termination on June 25 (Mullin v. Doe), and Pew counts about 6,100 Syrian TPS holders. Losing TPS does not mean automatic removal, but work permits tied to it are no longer valid.
