Lateefah Simon wins another term in California's 12th Congressional District

Democratic Rep. Lateefah Simon has won re-election to the U.S. House in California's 12th Congressional District, according to a projection by the NBC News Decision Desk.

Separately, California's unofficial districtwide results showed Simon with 103,784 votes, or 80.1%, against fellow Democrat Jamie Joyce's 25,827 votes, or 19.9%. The state results page was updated at 11:50 p.m. California time on Tuesday, November 3.

The state listed all 190 precincts as reporting. That does not mean every ballot has been counted, and the results remain unofficial rather than certified.

Simon, a Muslim member of Congress first elected in 2024, sought another term in the federal House.
