Rashida Tlaib wins Michigan's 12th House District

The Associated Press called Michigan's 12th Congressional District for Democratic incumbent Rashida Tlaib, MLive reported on November 3.

Tlaib defeated Republican James D. Hooper in a five-candidate race. The district includes parts of Wayne and Oakland counties and is centered on Detroit and Dearborn.

First elected to Congress in 2018 after serving in the Michigan House, Tlaib will serve another two-year term. The new congressional term begins January 3, 2027.
